iPhone7

The iPhone 7 is the latest generation of iPhones. It was announced on September 7, 2016, by Apple CEO Tim Cook at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. The announcement was followed by the release of the phone on September 16, 2016. The phone was subsequently released in other countries through the months of September and October.

The iPhone 7 bears a lot of similarities to the iPhone 6s in design and looks, but when you begin to look closely, you will notice that Apple has made some very major changes in the body of the phone. The external and internal hardware of the phone have gone through a significant upgrade. The iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch screen while its Plus version has a 5.5-inch screen. There is a new color option – Jet Black – was introduced with the iPhone 7. Knowing iPhone’s history with black devices, the jet black phone was a welcome change.

The black finish was achieved by anodizing the phone and then sweeping the casing through a powdered compound which was absorbed by aluminum oxide. This was followed by an ultrafine particle bath which gave the case its jet black finish. The phone is also rated IP67 water and dust resistant.

The phone also features a new capacitive Home button unlike the usual physical Home buttons in previous models. The pressure sensitive button uses a Taptive Engine vibrator for feedback. 3D Touch continues to be a part of iPhone 7’s features.

A major change in the hardware was the exclusion of the 3.5 mm headphone jack. It was replaced by a headphone that uses the lightning port of the phone. Apple includes a Lightning to 3.5 mm connector adapter which can be used for your 3.5 mm jack headphones. The adapter can be used on other Apple devices like the iPod and iPad but it did bring in a major change which made many users complain.

Under the hood, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus uses an Apple A10 Fusion 64-bit system on a chip. It features two lower power cores and two high power cores. When you use the device, only two cores can be utilized at one time. A hexacore graphics chip heralds console-like gaming experience in the iPhone. Apple’s motion co-processor is upgraded to M10. The iPhone 7 features the same 2GB RAM but the Plus version included 3GB RAM. The performance of the iPhone 7 Plus was being speculated to be a lot better than any of its predecessors.

The iPhone 7 offers a 32GB version as the basic model and the highest model is available at 256 GB. The rear camera features a 12MP camera with OIS included in the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus. The Plus model also has a second 12 MP telephoto lens which allows for higher precision, better zoom and much better images. The front cameras on both phones have been upgraded to the 7MP sensor and the front camera now features OIS too. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus come with iOS installed in the devices.

So while the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus may look very similar to their predecessors at first look, there is a lot that has changed and a lot of features that have been added in these two new phones. Overall, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were praised for their looks and performance, but many users and critics found the absence of the 3.5 mm jack to be disappointing. Users who rely on expensive headsets that use a 3.5 mm jack did not find it very acceptable, but Apple had ensured that the change did not leave its audience without options. This is why it considerately included an adapter that allowed the use of the existing 3.5 mm jacks, but users were still annoyed with the change.

With its wide range of changes, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus came with some flaws that were pointed out by customers when they started using their new phones. Here are some of the problems unique to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus which were noticed by a number of customers. If you face a similar problem then you can try the solutions listed along with the problems.
