Dual Camera Will Come In 2017, Does It Mean iPhone 7 Plus Will Not Have This Feature?

The dual camera technology on the smartphone will come in 2017 as it’s said by Kenichiro Yoshida from Sony Corporation. This statement was delivered in Q3 2015’s earnings call on Q&A session. His statement was reaffirmed by the fact that the sales of the high-end smartphones decrease so that the adoption of the dual camera on a smartphone will be delayed until 2016.

“High-end smartphone market is now slowing down. So, that may impact the demand or production schedule of dual-camera smartphones.” said Yoshida

At this time, Sony is a supplier of camera sensor for the iPhone. Yoshida’s statement makes us doubt in the previous rumor about iPhone 7 Plus will adopt dual camera. But, maybe Apple ordered the dual camera from the other supplier, and they will become the first company that has this feature. For instance, Apple adopted the fingerprint scanner in huge scale in 2013 through iPhone 5s, which became the most used technology adopted by the other smartphones.

Dual camera will become a new trend in the future with its capability to take better quality photos, and there will be a 2-3 x optical zoom feature on smartphones. Let’s see the surprise from Apple.
